To help hospitalized older people maintain their physical and mental functioning, healthcare professionals need to work together, but we know little about the views of nurses on interprofessional collaboration. We address this knowledge gap by elucidating the perspectives of nurses. Our findings – that nurses see interprofessional collaboration is improving, but also see themselves as marginalised in decision-making and patient advocacy – can help improve interprofessional collaboration in care supporting older people’s functioning.
